All students must attend a tryout class so coaching staff can determine final placement

Basketball Fundamentals
Beginner Stage 1
Understanding Basic Terminology and Individual Skills Development. Players will learn all the basic rules and skills needed to play fundamental basketball in a systematic fashion. This is a great place to start for all beginners without the pressure of team play or competition right away. We welcome all kids who wish to learn the sport the proper way from the beginning and avoiding bad habits.
Player Development
Intermediate Stage 2
The majority of players will be in this stage. You will have at least 1 year of experience and can show competency in all the fundamental skills needed to play the game. Players in this stage will contnue to develop their progressive dribbling skills, now with a focus on off-hand dribbling. We will introduce the Team concept of the game with concept drills, 2v2, 3v3, transition drills and 3-man weave. We will teach zone, man to man, and press breaks. To help kids become better players, advanced attack moves will be used and kids will scrimmage in live half court and full court games as they progress.
Advanced Competition Stage 3
Students who are ready to move into this stage will be at the discretion of the coach. We will teach advanced concepts and the skills needed to suceed in high school varsity teams. Advanced dribbling, Offensive plays, Advanced defense, shooting drills, controlled intentional scrimmages, advanced conditioning, press break, less turnovers, running offense, help defense. Please note this level requires commitment and time to play in all the tournaments and practices as deemed necessary by the coaching staff.
Individual Skills Training
Small class size focused on fundamental basketball skills needed to be successful. This will include but not limited to: shooting drills, movement with and without the ball, court vision/awareness, team concepts, dribbling, layups, screens, off ball movement, etc
